Legend of Zelda Manga/Anime [Oct. 3rd, 2010|05:58 pm]
All about Zelda

It's been awhile since I used this. Anyway, I thought about having this as my note taking for my idea for Legend of Zelda.

It's based off of the video game series and once it's done, I hope Nintendo will like this idea and allow me to publish it and maybe work with them in creating an anime for this (course I need money in order to do that so this will be a long while). Anyway, the name of this will be called Legend of Zelda: The Knights of Destiny. It will take place at Timeline A decades after Twilight Princess. The Link in this story will be Colin's grandson. He is a famer in Ordon village, same as the hero from TP. He lives with his father, Duncan and younger sister, Ria. He hangs around with a lazy but caring best friend Cole who's suppose to be the current mayor's grandson who always scolds at him for being lazy. I'm right now debating if he is Ilia's descendant but I'm not sure. I'm actually trying to arrange it where it's after TP but before ALttP (A Link to the Past) as this will deal with the knights of Hyrule who seal Ganon into the sacred realm which becomes the darkworld. Though Ganon/Ganondorf is in it, I wanted it to deal more on Vaati as he is determine to retrieve the golden power and later finds out it had been split into three. Vaati sends his monsters, a new race known as darklins to search for that power, even if it meant killing those in their way. This would be how Ordon is completely destroyed and all but Duncan and Ria were killed. Link was almost killed by the darklins until the three goddesses, Din, Nayru and Farore appear before him and tell him he has a destiny, giving him the hero's garbs, a map to find the four jewels in not only Hyrule but the entire world. His best friend Cole was with him during the commotion at Hyrule Castle Town and was left behind when he saw Link ride off Epona to try to stop the darklins. Duncan was severely injured and Ria was trying to help him out of Ordon after it was completely destroyed. The two wondered why Link was dressed in the hero garbs but there was no time and he helped his father and sister onto Epona, and hurried back to Hyrule as fast as he could. When he came back, he saw his best friend, Cole with the Princess' nurse, Impa, a middle aged woman who had been taking care of Zelda ever since she was a baby. Impa saw Duncan's injuries and quickly helped him to the castle to heal him. Duncan was saved, however he needed rest. The Princess Zelda talked to Link as she saw he was dressed in the hero's garbs, knowing he's the Hero chosen by the goddesses. She offered to join him in his quest as his journey will not be successful without her help, as there are some areas that require only her magic. Cole and Ria insisted in coming along at first as they felt they should since their home was destroyed. Link at first told them no because he didn't want to lose them as well and that they should take care of his father. So Link and Zelda rode off back to the ruins of Ordon to find some clues as to why these new monsters were attacking this village first. Zelda used her powers to visualize what they wanted and found clues about the first gem, the green gem of the south. The two didn't understand what that meant. Then Link remembered his sister, Ria wearing a pendant that resembled a green stone, and realized they were looking for her pendant. Just when Link and Zelda were about to head back, Cole and Ria appeared before them. Link scolded at them after the fact they disobeyed him. But realized it was better for them to come along as both Cole and Ria would be safer with him and Zelda.

That's kinda what I have just thought of so far. It will change after awhile but I kinda like this so far. I'm thinking about also bringing back the Deity Mask but it's been transformed into the Deity circlet after it deteriorated through time. Link used it the first time when battling an to powerful being. It helped him a lot, but Link chooses to keep it on as he felt he was invincible against his enemies. But the Deity circlet had changed him, making him cruel among his friends and the princess. They tried taking it off themselves, but it did not end so well and Link goes off on his own. Then suddenly he realizes his wrongs and tried to take it off himself, but the Deity mask was so powerful as if possessing him. Fighting it, Link was going insane and dark clouds formed around him as he was struggling to take the circlet off. When he finally did, collapses, witnessing the circlet transforming into a shadow figure of himself, Dark Link. I'm not sure what will make Link realize what he had done but if anyone has suggestions for that, please post it. I might have Shiek try to snap him out of it but not sure yet.

I'm bringing back Kafei and Anju. They'll be married and expecting child in the village Kariko. They traveled far from Hyrule to live a much better life and decided to live in Kakariko and start a family there. But what they didn't know was there was a huge monster attacking the village causing everyone to go underground where the giant monster couldn't reach them. This is where I was thinking of having Link as a giant in order to destroy the being easily (sorry, my favorite myical beings are giants and I wanted to try it out LOL). I believe I would have it where it was caused by an aritfact someone in Kakariko had found, causing a small Octorok to grow into a giant Octo. The artifact was hidden in Kafei and Anju's home but neither of them knew about it nor touched it. I guess this would be more of an accident after Link, Zelda and Cole try to stop the giant Octo themselves, but failed. Link would feel down and go off upstairs where the artifact was found. Link suddenly sees something glowing and approaches it. He picks it up and stares at it for a bit with curiousity. Suddenly the artifact blinds him and it goes on one of his armguard. He tries to remove it, but it was stuck good. Link wondered about it and at first thought it was nothing. Until he turned around to the door and noticed it was smaller than he remembered. Then after a few seconds, he saw that he was growing and didn't know what was happening to him, breaking the entire home of Kafei's and Anju's. Cole and the others from underground wondered what was going on and were surprised to see Link as a giant. But it actually helped him defeat the giant Octo and Kakariko was saved. The princess recognized the artifact that was stuck on Link's armguard and used her magic to remove it and Link shrunk back to normal. The Princess trapped it in a bottle to make sure it did not go to another victim. Although Kakariko was saved, Link felt guilty for destroying the married couple's home and offered to help rebuild it. The two were very grateful and the boys helped Kafei build the home while Zelda and Ria were helping Anju out with food shopping and equipment for their new baby. Anju goes into labor and they call for the current Shaman of Kakariko. They have a newborn baby boy and they named him after Link to honor him. Link was grateful for that and promised them they will return to visit them.

I have two new characters who later join them in their adventure: Lotus who is a Zora prince and Marconia a young goron chief. I want to add some more who will become the seven sages of Hyrule but I can't come up with them yet. Especially since they will be the ancestors of the six maidens and Zelda. Obviously Princess Zelda would be the seventh sage so that's an easy one. As for the other six, I have to take a look at the locations of where each maiden was from. Lotus' personality is more on the arrogant side and tries to woo Ria every day, making Cole jealous and get into fights with him. Marconia is heartwarming but he's all brawn and doesn't listen whenever Link tries to stop him from pounding things without being cautious. He enjoys being around Link A LOT, calling him brother. I'm thinking of introducing female Gorons as I've been curious about that race. There will also be evil Zoras as Lotus' race not only gets attacked by Vaati and the Darklins, but they get transformed into the evil Zoras we knew from A Link to the Past and the first Legend of Zelda.

That's what I have so far. More will be coming soon!!

About the Figurines in Zelda games [Jul. 17th, 2008|10:47 pm]

Okay, this is kinda out of the blue and all, but I remembered when Wind Waker came out and finding out about this optional side quest called Nintendo Gallery, I was pretty much into getting figurines just to collect and all. For those who haven't really played Wind Waker, it pretty much was a room where you can have figurines of different Zelda characters (good and bad). But in order to get them all, you need a pictobox and have a firefly that omitted rainbow colors to make colored pictographs. So I did that just because, collecting every single figurine and made me think that Nintendo should allow you to send a code to them and they would send out figurines to your house. Although that would never happen, but I thought that might be cool. I'm a figurine collector which is why I'm into wanting actual figurines of Certain video games or anime. They wouldn't be big figurine. I would say about the same size as how the pokemon figurines would look or a tad bit bigger. I don't know. I felt the same way when I played Super Smash Bros. Melee also. Same idea if you collect them or something. One code per figurine. I think they should do the same for every Zelda game with that kind of concept. All the characters and enemies. But hey hat's just me. *shrugg*

The Timeline Theory [Jul. 8th, 2008|12:39 pm]
All about Zelda

Now this is probably one of the most complex discussions I have ever seen when it comes to video games. I remember before Ocarina of Time came out, I thought there wasn't really an order and really thought nothing of it as well as thinking there was only one Link and one Zelda. But then Ocarina of Time came out and I took a look at the story line in a strategy guide talking about and argument on the TRUE order of the Hyrule history. So I pretty much thought first came Ocarina of Time then a Link to the Past and then the first two zelda games that were for the NES. This was before I played all of the video games as I didn't have Link's Awakening and Zelda II the Adventure o Link until after I really got into Zelda when Ocarina of Time came out. But as you all know, More zelda games came out through the years with a piece of what the actual timeline was. A lot of assumptions including my own are VERY good ideas on that theory. Especially when I watched the Legend of Zelda Retrospective part 6 which came out before Phantom Hourglass and Twilight Princess came out. I remembered them saying that Twilight Princess was probably part of Timeline B (the Timeline when Link defeats Ganon in the future where Wind Waker follows after that). But then when I played through the whole game, that assumption turned out that it wasn't the case. From what I saw Ganondorf gets banished into the Twilight by the seven sages and all of a sudden gets the triforce of Power. The way it looked didn't seem like it was from the future perspective. To me it took place in Timeline A when Link is a kid and tells Princess Zelda about Ganondorf's evil deeds. I could be mistaken but that's how I see it right now. It also kinda changes the idea that the Link from Ocarina of Time was traveling by sail boat and gets stranded on Koholint Island (Link's Awakening), sees a shadow image of Ganon, returns to Hyrule which has changed while he was gone, and then defeats Ganon for good. Although Link's Awakening, then the NES Legend of Zelda and then Adventure of Link actually made sense to me so I left as it was.

Anyway, this was what I thought of at first as my timeline:

Minish Cap
Ocarina of Time

Timeline A: Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess, Oracle of Ages, Link's Awakening, The Legend of Zelda, and Adventure of Link

Timeline B: The Wind Waker, Phantom Hourglass, Four Swords, A Link to the Past, Four Swords Adventure, and Oracle of Seasons.

Some of them I know why they are as when you beat Oracle of Seasons and Ages as a combined story, Link Sails across by boat, but the argument would be Ganon is about to be revived by twinrova, and Oracle of Ages and Seasons would fall after a Link to the Past. I'm not saying this is the ONLY way the timeline is. Most of these are guesses since the timeline IS like a puzzle. You have to figure out where the pieces would fit. However, I do know that the timeline split IS accurate as many fans agree it is so and Miyamoto mentioned about it as well. I'm willing to hear other theories and why they think it's so.

Hi Everyone! And welcome to a new community called All about Zelda. I've always wanted to try something like this since I've been in love with the games ever since they first came out. Right now I'm just getting started, however this will be a way for us to basically talk about the Zelda games. Whether it's about their stories or the characters, Timeline theory assumptions, or pretty much just show some fan art work dealing with the Legend of Zelda games. Especially when I was discussing in my other Live Journal about a zelda story concept I was talking about. I'm looking forward to talking to everyone and I hope this works out! ^_^
